Vedic wisdom has been passed down through many great sages who were free from the bindings of this world. Their minds were connected to the inifine ocean of wisdom within, their light will radiate for all eternity. With eternal gratitude we keep this lamp burning in their honor.
Ayurveda (Devanagari: आयुर्वेद ) or ayurvedic medicine is a form of alternative medicine in use primarily in the Indian subcontinent. The word "Ayurveda" is a tatpurusha compound of āyus "life" and veda "knowledge", and would roughly translate as the "Science of Life". Ayurveda deals with the measures of healthy living, along with therapeutic measures that relate to physical, mental, social and spiritual harmony. Ayurveda is also one among the few traditional systems of medicine involving surgery.
The ancient Vedic sages viewed the Earth[Bhu Matha - Mother Earth] as a divine goddess, a being who had feelings and consciousness, and who responded to our prayers and actions. The sages sang beautiful hymns of gratitude to Mother Earth, wished her peace in rhythmic peace prayers, and also performed elaborate fire ceremonies for her peace and happiness.
Jyotisha (jyotiṣa, in Hindi and English usage Jyotish) is the Hindu system of astrology, one of the six disciplines of Vedanta, and regarded as one of the oldest schools of ancient astrology to have had an independent origin, affecting all other schools in and around India. The Sanskrit word derives from jyótis (disjointed as "Ja"+"Ya"+"O"+"T"+"ish" to get the root meaning as "water or birth"+"in addition to" + "earth" and "stars" + "knowledgeable" equating as one who is knowledgeable, or enlightened with knowledge, of birth, fate, and relationship to water, earth and stars) or which means "light, brightness", but in the plural also "the heavenly bodies, planets and stars".

A look into the basics of Vedic culture and its philosophy.
Many people do not know quite what it is, and it is often described incorrectly by many who are not a part of it. However, it is not as mysterious or complex as it is often portrayed to be.
Yagya is the science of purification of the atmosphere through the agency of fire given through Vedas, the ancienmost body of knowledge known to humankind.
Namaste: On this day of Ekadasi, I would like to thank and encourage all participants of the Vedic Society, to continue with their valuable efforts, of education and preservation of the ancient customs for the benefit of mankind. I have been studying Ayurveda, from books that are available in the west, and from the on line web courses that are offered on Ayurveda. I have had the good fortune, as a westerner, to have my life changed when I received spiritual initiation into the chanting of the Maha Mantra ( Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama ,Hare Hare) by my sad gurudeva A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, and have been under guidance of my siksha gurudeva Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja as well. Their blessings have helped me understand the greatness of the original, traditional Vedic way of life.
Bhagavadgita, MahaBharata, SrimadBhagavatam are a few of the books I have been allowed to study by the mercy of my Gurudeva, who has translated them into English. I have great respect and love for the Indian people who have not given up their original faith in the ancient teachings, and who try to live the honorable life of their ancestors. Kali Yuga has done great damage to your great country, by misleading the youth of your nation to the western ways. Living in the west my whole life, I see how Kali Yuga has degraded people here by gambling, intoxication, meat eating, and illicit sex life. The morals, behavior, and goals of the people in the west are very degraded. But the hope is that many people like myself, have changed their ways for the better, by comming in contact with sadhus and preachers, who have travelled to the west to enlighten people with the ancient messages of the Vedas.
Many people are now interested in and respect your culture, through the knowledge they have received. I feel very happy about this. Now many people are becoming Vegetarian, and they are interested in learning about Astrology, Ayurveda, Vastu Shastra, and in general want to know more about how to live the Vedic Life . Cow Protection is even important to us now. Such a change has been possible because of the travelling sadhus who came to give their mercy to the fallen people of the west.
So I am happy to see this site here, helping persons such as myself to learn more, and put into practice the healing, and nurturing qualities of the Vedic Wisdom. Please continue your good work and bless myself and family to also continue learning more and more.

“THE SACRED FIRE”
‘FLAME’ IS THE HIGHEST MANIFESTION OF VISIBLE TANGIBLE SUBSTANCE – LIGHT IS AN EMINATION OF THE FLAME. There is a nameless, unseen, indescribable Force with The Sacred Fire, which is Its Heart Centre, but for man, the highest that his consciousness can comprehend as the manifestation of God is The Sacred Fire. THE FIRE ELEMENT IS THE SUPREME GOVERING AUTHORITY IN THE FORCES FO THE ELEMENTS, THE LIFE OF MAN AND THE SOLAR SYSTEM. The Fire of Creation is the individual, Eternal Identity of every human being. It is DUAL in its purpose for it constantly creates manifestations of Itself, and may be called on to transmute imperfect expressions created by man. This two-fold action of the Sacred Fire is the Gift of God to His Creation.
The most ancient of Spiritual Customs of the peoples of this Planet, and other Planets, was the worship of the Fire Element. The flame within the Heart is one of the manifold expressions of this Fire of God. In the physical world, the elements of water, air and earth are provided for man without self-conscious effort on his part and given to him as gifts for his use, but to enjoy the Fourth Element (which is by its name an Element of the Fourth Dimension) one must exert conscious effort on his part and through certain processes, draw forth this Sacred Fire. This is true, not only in ordinary physical activity but also in Spiritual activity. Many, many centuries ago, Blessed Zarathustra brought the physical knowledge of The Fire Element to the outer minds of man that he may use it for heat, light and in Its transmuting activity, to remove debris, and He, since Fire is His natural Element, is most active in kindling the Spiritual Fire in the hearts and minds of upward reaching man today!
